The Briggs Cook scholarships are offered to students in Childcare, Health Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, and Psychology programs in a Canadian or U.S. accredited college or university.

Students in these programs will be directly responsible for contributing to the overall well-being of individuals in their communities. These students, upon graduation will contribute to & improve the healthcare for the general public.

The Briggs Cook Scholarship program aims to inspire and motivate students that aim to have a future positive impact in the healthcare sector. This scholarship program is will help provide students with the knowledge, skills and financial means to successfully achieve their goals.


Scott Cooper Scholarship - Eligibility and Requirements

The Briggs Cook Scholarship Program is offering 2 scholarships worth $500.00 (USD/ CAD) each to any student who has accepted an offer to an accredited United States or Canadian post-secondary institution. The eligible programs are listed below:

  • Childcare
  • Health Sciences
  • Life Sciences
  • Medicine
  • Nursing
  • Psychology

For consideration of one $500 scholarship from the Briggs Cook Scholarship program, you must submit an essay (500 words or less) on how you plan to use your degree to better our world.

*Students in any year of either an undergraduate or graduate program, full- or part-time, are eligible for the Briggs Cook Scholarship program.

The Briggs Cook Scholarship Program is no longer accepting applicants. 

Eligibility & Application Details

  • Must currently attend or have been accepted to an accredited college or university in Canada or the U.S.

  • Must be recently accepted to, or currently enrolled in the following programs, with a good academic standing: Childcare, Health Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, or Psychology.

  • Upload your Acceptance Letter.

  • Applicants must describe, in 500 words or less, why they are choosing their particular area of study, and how he/she plans to contribute to their future employers and communities upon graduation from their program.
